Mazen Ali

is the Dutch-Kurdish founder and owner of TheKurdawari, a growing global brand dedicated to shipping Kurdish cultural items worldwide. At just 18 years old, Mazen is based in the Netherlands and has already made a significant impact within the Kurdish community. In 2022, he founded KurdishActivism, a platform aimed at raising awareness about the Kurdish people and Kurdistan—a homeland divided by the borders of Iran, Iraq, Turkey, and Syria.

Mazen Ali, Founder

Born in Iraq and leaving at the age of two due to political oppression, Mazen carries a deep-rooted pride for his Kurdish heritage, a value instilled by his family’s history. His grandfather, a key figure in the Communist Party, was imprisoned and blinded for advocating Kurdish rights during Saddam Hussein’s regime. This experience profoundly shaped Mazen’s commitment to advocating for his people’s rights.

Since 2022, Mazen has successfully built a vibrant and engaged Kurdish community across social media platforms, reaching people from the Netherlands to every corner of the globe. His goal is to further expand this community while showcasing the rich culture of the Kurdish people.

Inspired by his heritage and a passion for fashion, Mazen launched TheKurdawari to blend traditional Kurdish culture with modern, contemporary design. This brand represents a fusion of innovation and tradition, allowing Mazen to honor his roots while pushing the boundaries of fashion.
